Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 4 medium Bell Peppers Any color
  • 1 cup Cooked Rice White or brown
  • 1 lb Ground Beef Can substitute with turkey or vegetarian option
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce Divided
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese Cheddar or mozzarella
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes.
  3. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in cooked rice, half of the tomato sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Stuffing and Baking
  1. Stuff each bell pepper with the meat and rice mixture.
  2. Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish and pour the remaining tomato sauce over the top.
  3. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  4. Remove foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake for an additional 5 minutes until cheese is melted.
  5. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
