Ingredients
  

Meat
  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast cut into chunks
Vegetables
  • 4 medium potatoes peeled and diced
  • 2 medium carrots sliced
  • 1 medium onion chopped
Liquids
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Seasonings
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the beef chunks with garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  2. Place the diced potatoes, carrots, and onions at the bottom of the crockpot.
Cooking
  1. Layer the seasoned beef on top of the vegetables in the crockpot.
  2. Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the meat and vegetables.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours, until the beef is tender.
  4. Once cooked, stir gently and serve hot.
