Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup sourdough starter active and bubbly
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree canned or homemade
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 large eggs
Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Batter
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sourdough starter, pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, brown sugar, and eggs until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Bake the Bread
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
