Ingredients
  

Seafood and Vegetables
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb andouille sausage sliced
  • 4 medium potatoes cut into quarters
  • 2 ears corn cut into halves
Spices and Seasonings
  • 4 qt water
  • 3 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tbsp salt to taste
  • 1 lemon lemon cut into wedges for serving

Method
 

Prepare the Boil
  1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add Old Bay seasoning and salt.
  2. Add potatoes and cook for about 10 minutes until they start to soften.
  3. Add the sausage and corn, and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Finally, add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 3-5 minutes.
Serve
  1. Drain the pot using a strainer and transfer the contents to a serving platter.
  2. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

For a spicier version, add cayenne pepper or hot sauce to the boil.
