Ingredients
  

Tuna Steaks
  • 4 pieces tuna steaks about 6 ounces each
Marinade
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds toasted
  • 2 stalks green onions sliced

Method
 

Prepare the Marinade
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, and lime juice.
Marinate the Tuna
  1. Place the tuna steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
Sear the Tuna
  1. Heat a skillet over high heat. Remove the tuna from the marinade and sear each steak for about 1-2 minutes on each side for rare, or longer if desired.
Serve
  1. Slice the seared tuna steaks against the grain and serve garnished with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
