Ingredients
  

Pie Crust
  • 1 each pie crust store-bought or homemade
Filling
  • 1 can pumpkin puree 15 oz
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 can evaporated milk 12 oz

Method
 

Prepare the Crust
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Place the pie crust in the pie dish and crimp the edges.
Make the Filling
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine pumpkin puree, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, whisking until fully incorporated. Gradually stir in evaporated milk until smooth.
Bake the Pie
  1. Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
  2. Reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for an additional 30 minutes or until the filling is set.
Cool and Serve
  1. Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack. Serve with whipped cream if desired.
