Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree canned or homemade
  • 1/2 cup sugar can substitute with brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

Prepare the Batter
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the wet ingredients: pumpkin puree, sugar, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
Bake the Donuts
  1. Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
