Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 4 cups fresh peaches sliced
  • 1 cup sugar adjust based on sweetness of peaches
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Topping
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup pecans chopped, optional

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine sliced peaches, sugar, and lemon juice. Stir until well mixed.
Assemble the Cake
  1. Pour the peach mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the peach mixture.
  3. Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the cake mix.
  4. If using, sprinkle chopped pecans on top.
Bake
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
  2. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
