Ingredients
  

Sorbet Base
  • 1 cup water for simple syrup
  • 1 cup granulated sugar for sweetness
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice about 4-6 lemons
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest for extra flavor

Method
 

Prepare the Simple Syrup
  1. In a saucepan, combine water and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.
Mix the Ingredients
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooled simple syrup, fresh lemon juice, and lemon zest. Whisk until well combined.
Chill the Mixture
  1. Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until thoroughly chilled.
Churn the Sorbet
  1. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
Freeze the Sorbet
  1. Transfer the sorbet to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 2 hours or until firm.
