  • 1/2 cup soy sauce preferably low sodium
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Sauce
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, rice vinegar, minced garlic, minced ginger, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Whisk the ingredients together until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is well combined.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  4. Transfer the sauce to a serving bowl and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
