  • 1 lb ground beef preferably lean
  • 1 cup white rice uncooked
  • 2 cups beef broth or water
  • 1 cup bell pepper diced
  • 1 cup onion diced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce optional
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1 tsp black pepper to taste

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onion and bell pepper, sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Stir in rice, beef broth, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed.
  7. Stir in frozen peas and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy your meal!
