  • 4 medium fresh tomatoes diced
  • 1 small red onion finely chopped
  • 1 medium jalapeño pepper seeded and minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1 medium lime juiced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Dice the fresh tomatoes and place them in a mixing bowl.
  2. Finely chop the red onion and add it to the bowl.
  3. Seed and mince the jalapeño pepper, then add to the mixture.
  4. Chop the fresh cilantro and add it to the bowl.
  5. Juice the lime and pour it over the salsa ingredients.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper, then mix well to combine.
  7. Let the salsa sit for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
