Ingredients
  

Chocolate Layered Dessert
  • 1 package chocolate sandwich cookies crushed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 package cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping thawed
  • 1 package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup additional whipped topping for topping
  • 1/4 cup chocolate shavings for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the crust
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine crushed chocolate sandwich cookies and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
  2. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish to form the crust.
Make the filling
  1. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  2. Fold in the whipped topping until fully incorporated.
Layer the dessert
  1. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the crust evenly.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and milk until thickened.
  3. Spread the pudding mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  4. Top with additional whipped topping and garnish with chocolate shavings.
Chill and serve
  1. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the layers to set.
  2. Cut into squares and serve chilled.
