Filling
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries ripe
  • 0.25 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
Topping
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven and prepare a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, 0.5 cups granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Press half of the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Filling
  1. In a separate bowl, combine fresh strawberries, 0.25 cups granulated sugar, and cornstarch.
  2. Spread the strawberry mixture over the crust in the baking dish.
  3. Crumble the remaining flour mixture on top of the strawberries.
Baking
  1. Bake until golden brown.
  2. In another bowl, whisk heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  3. Serve bars with whipped cream on top.
