  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whole milk
Frosting and Decoration
  • 7 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • 1 and 3/4 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 2–3 teaspoons heavy cream or whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 24 ounces candy melts or white chocolate bars
  • sprinkles for decoration

Method
 

Cake Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven and prepare a baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with whole milk, mixing until well combined.
  6. Pour batter into the baking pan and bake for 36 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow cake to cool completely.
Cake Pop Assembly
  1. Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl and mix in softened butter and confectioners’ sugar until well combined.
  2. Form small balls of the mixture and place them on a baking sheet.
  3. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes to firm up the cake pops.
  4. Melt candy melts or white chocolate bars according to package instructions.
  5. Dip the tip of a lollipop stick into the melted chocolate, then insert it into each cake pop.
  6. Fully coat the cake pops in the melted chocolate and add sprinkles for decoration.
  7. Allow the chocolate to set before serving.
