Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
Add-ins
  • 2 cups chocolate chips semi-sweet

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Bake the Cookies
  1. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  3. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
