Method
Prepare the Cake
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and sour cream.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in the blueberries.
Make the Streusel Topping
- In a small bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Bake the Cake
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and sprinkle the streusel topping evenly over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
