Ingredients
  

Ribs
  • 2 pounds pork ribs Baby back or spare ribs
Dry Rub
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for heat
Barbecue Sauce
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce store-bought or homemade

Method
 

Prepare the Ribs
  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better tenderness.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine all dry rub ingredients and mix well.
  4. Rub the dry mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.
Bake the Ribs
  1. Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
  2. Cover the ribs with another piece of foil to keep them moist.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.
Glaze and Finish
  1. Remove the ribs from the oven and discard the top foil.
  2. Brush the ribs generously with barbecue sauce.
  3. Return to the oven and bake uncovered for an additional 30 minutes, basting with more sauce halfway through.
  4. Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes
