Method
Prepare the Ribs
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better tenderness.
- In a mixing bowl, combine all dry rub ingredients and mix well.
- Rub the dry mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.
Bake the Ribs
- Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
- Cover the ribs with another piece of foil to keep them moist.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.
Glaze and Finish
- Remove the ribs from the oven and discard the top foil.
- Brush the ribs generously with barbecue sauce.
- Return to the oven and bake uncovered for an additional 30 minutes, basting with more sauce halfway through.
- Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
